This statue is portraying Zeus,who  is the sky and thunder god in ancient Greek religion, who rules as king of the gods of Mount Olympus. Zeus is a symbol of power and strength, and overcoming difficulties. Zeus holds a thunderbolt, as a manifestation of his power. This Bolt is a symbol of cosmic order, as expressed  from Heraclitus.
