There is a kind of beauty that cannot be invented - only preserved.
At Mother Nature Jewelry, every piece begins not in a workshop, but in nature itself. A leaf. A flower. A fragile botanical moment that would normally fade with time is captured, transformed, and given a second life in precious metal.
Jewelry that begins with real nature
Each piece starts with an authentic plant element: a ginkgo biloba leaf, an olive branch, a fern, a rose petal, or even a sea shell or piece of tree bark. These are not merely inspired forms - they are real natural structures.
The goal is not to imitate nature, but to preserve it exactly as it is.
Every vein, every micro-texture, every organic imperfection is part of the final design.
How real flower jewelry is made
The process is a combination of traditional craftsmanship and advanced metallurgical technique.
- First, a real leaf or flower is carefully selected. Only natural forms with strong structural integrity are chosen, ensuring that the finest details can be preserved.
- From there, we use a method known as electroforming, where the natural object is gradually encased in metal at a molecular level. This allows the metal to grow directly over the surface of the plant, capturing every vein and contour in extreme detail.
- What emerges is a perfect metal replica of the original natural form. Not simplified, not stylized, but preserved as it truly was.
- Once the botanical piece is encased, it becomes the foundation for further craftsmanship. We then create reusable molds, allowing the design to be cast again in precious metals while preserving the original detail indefinitely.
This means the original leaf or flower is never repeatedly destroyed. We work sustainably, using nature carefully and respectfully.
Materials that carry meaning
Each piece is then crafted in:
- Recycled sterling silver 925
- Solid gold
- Gold-plated sterling silver or brass
The use of recycled metals is intentional. Just as nature is not disposable, neither is the material we use to represent it.
Every surface is polished and finished by hand, enhancing the organic structure rather than covering it.
Why real flower jewelry is different
Unlike mass-produced jewelry, no two pieces are ever identical.
Even when made from the same plant type — a ginkgo leaf, an olive branch, a rose — the natural variation ensures every piece carries its own identity.
This is what makes it more than jewelry: it becomes a preserved moment of nature.
A quiet reminder of life, growth, and impermanence.
The meaning behind the designs
Many of our botanical choices carry symbolic weight:
- Ginkgo Biloba leaves — resilience, hope, longevity
- Olive leaves and branches — peace, fortune and protection
- Fern leaves — sincerity and connection to nature
- Floral forms — love, femininity, and emotional memory
For many of our customers, especially women who value nature-inspired living, these pieces are not just accessories — they are personal symbols worn close to the body.
Handmade in Athens, inspired by nature
Mother Nature Jewelry was founded in 2011 in Athens by Sotiris Stamatis, with a simple belief:
Nature is like a piece of jewelry.
Every morning in our studio begins with the same intention - to transform natural forms into wearable art without losing their authenticity.
The process is slow, detailed, and entirely handmade. Tools, fire, metal, and patience come together to preserve something that once lived in nature.
Sustainability at the core
We believe that beauty should not come at the expense of the environment.
That is why:
- We use recycled sterling silver and gold
- Our molds are reusable
- We take minimal natural material from each plant
- We donate part of every sale to children’s support initiatives
Sustainability is not an addition to our work, it is part of the structure of how we create.
